It surprises me even more now that cigarette smoking seems to be makin
    comeback.

We can get rid of more stupid people. I say advertise it, promote it l them all smoke everywhere again. Who cares!?!? Where did I put my HEALTHY low tar darts?

Suprising enough, My health problems did'nt start until I stopped smoking, a other lifestyle changes to try to benefit my health. It was a real shock to body I guess.. took about 3-4 years to get my blood pressure and heart-rate stable.
I never tried smoking. I watched peers in my younger days smoking and thought they looked cool but I just never tried it. When you quit smoking your body revolted is that what you are saying. Did you ever relapse and go back to smoking? Or did you never look back? How are you doing today?

I never thought it looked really cool. Just a little silly with something hanging out of someone's mouth with ashes falling off it..

I was going to reply to this message that you were quoting, but oddly, I don't have this thread at all in my Dove-Net General messagebase (despite the previous quote from Dumas Walker to me about smoking making a comeback).. Is this an old thread, perhaps?

Road trips in the '70s with two parents who smoked turned me off. They
claimed they'd open the window a crack and all of the smoke would be
sucked out. Didn't work as planned.

Later on, my father contracted emphysema, and that helped turn my kids
    off of smoking.

They see smoking as harmful, but apparently vaping is just stupid.

Myself, I found it very obvious it was kids trying too hard to pose as cool people. Back in the day nearly every kid smoked at high-school. And they also got blind drunk.

    Pathetic.

They see smoking as harmful, but apparently vaping is just stupid.

People tend to think of 'vaping' as safe, but it's not safe.
'E-liquid' or 'e-juice' or 'vape juice' is what the devices use to
vaporize for you to breathe in. E-liquids are not just water, they
    contain some nasty chemicals.

They contain flavoring, nicotine, propylene glycol and glycerin.
Some also include chemicals that cause cancer such as acrolein,
diactyl and ethylene glycol. Some have THC derivatives, vitamin E
acetate, heavy metals (tin, lead, nickel and cadmium).

These are all tiny particles that can get deep into your lungs.

I'm no one to talk, as I smoked cigarettes until I was 27 years
old, but the stuff in these vaping devices sounds pretty nasty to
me. (I'm not a chemistry expert)

Makes me wonder how it will affect the younger peoples health in
the future. But c'est la vie. People will do what they will do.

I never thought it looked really cool. Just a little silly with something hanging out of someone's mouth with ashes falling off it..

And the eye squinting from the smoke that gets in your eyes, I quit smoking when I was 22.
Never had the desire to start back up.
When I quit a pack of cigarettes cost me 0.58 cents at the store and 0.65 at the vending machines.
